Originally hailing from Western Australia, Andrew graduated from the University of Adelaide with a degree in Oenology in 2005. He went on to gain valuable experience from leading producers in Margaret River, Barossa Valley, New Zealand and Germany.
After spending several years in the Sonoma Valley in California, working with primarily Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, he travelled further north to the emerging Washington State wine region. For nearly a decade, Andrew was the Head Winemaker at the top-tier, boutique winery Corliss Estate, where he had the opportunity to work with highly regarded Napa-based consultants.
In 2018, Andrew returned to Australia with his wife and newborn daughter, while continuing to oversee US-based operations across multiple state-of-the-art winemaking facilities. He joined the Overstory team at the start of 2021, with a strong desire to explore high-level winemaking in two of Australia’s premier grape-growing regions – Margaret River and Tamar Valley.
Andrew loves being back in the inspiring surrounds of Australia – balancing his time between Margaret River and Tamar Valley vineyards – and enjoying life with his wife and two young daughters.
